1971, showing since always outstanding qualities in drawing, later studied architecture, always excelling in the media of graphic expression. Self-taught in other media such as oil, pastel and acrylics, and like many other architects, as a late vocation, back in my a deep need to express visually outside the architectural context, but ...freely, a passion, ...an overwhelming need to capture and translate light and colors through my painting. Member of National Watercolor Society
The work done in Amate Bark Paper is essentially iconic and figurative, on the cultural symbols of my environment. The support chosen for this series also contributes to conceptualize, from the Nahuatl "amatl tree leaf" prepared with the ancient technique used in pre-hispanic codices, using the media, mainly acrylic and mixed with special attention to enhance the texture of the paper.
My artwork is beginning to be part of private collections in the United States, Mexico, Australia, Canada,
and recently and Belgium.
